Lord of Madness
Amidst all the high lords of madness one is hard pressed to discover a being who's manifestation is quite as baffling and captivating as Varjh, the high lord of rage. Once treading amongst mortal souls, the man, who should become known and feared as Varjh, experienced a more gradual ascension to the grim pantheon, than his fellows. Whether resulting from an unusually unkind fate littered with plight and misery, or stemming from some sort of grave mental derangemeht, Varjh developed an ungodly hate towards all things in existence and every idea ever devised. So intense was this abhorrence and for so long it gnawed away at the mortal's soul and body, that from it's essence a physical flame was born. Nothing more than a faint glow at first, it crept and stretched until it had touched all his inner organs. It was not long before the conflagration, constantly fueled by it's seething bearer, would spew through Varjh's frail skin and engulf what was left of the mortals faiding shell. It was at that instant, that any lingering specks of humanity were turned to ashes and the being Varjh blossomed. But with the ascension came the damnation. One peculiar detail which defines the mortals as such, is the fact, that their soul and therefore they as a being, disappears without a physical vessel, to which it is bound. Thus are the rules of the material and aetherial worlds and even the high lords themselves, while able to bend them, are ultimately bound to obey them. Varjh's fire, once responsible for his deterioration, is now the force, that maintains the integrity of the pityful remains of the mortal shell. Agony is funneled into Varjh's rage, that in turn fuels the neverending inferno, the very reason for this eternal torment, and the only mean by which this unnatural being can still exist.
